Why?

Building internal developer platforms as products is a relatively new and unnavigated frontier.  To increase shared knowledge in the area, my goal is to research, think, write, and engage with others on the most difficult shared problems we have around internal developer platforms as products.

What to expect:

• Case studies and Interviews.  How do different types of companies execute?  What constraints did they operate with?  What are common pitfalls?

• Best Practices.  Out of all the common problems, what solutions worked and why?

• Career path advice.  How does one improve and grow as an internal platform product manager?  How can I recruit the right people?

• Product favorites from around the industry and up-and-comers to consider.  Since many internal developer platforms are meshes of purchased or open-sourced products, what tools should be on my radar?
